This index was
created, and transcribed, by Sondra Watrus at the request of the Blaine NEGenWeb.
We would like
to express our sincere appreciation for Sondra's willingness to undertake this
project for us. We could have not accomplished this without her willingness
to step forward and undertake this task.
Sondra's accomplishment,
together that of with Karolee (Ingraham) Plock's for the Loup portion of the book,
now
provide researchers added information for many years to come.

On behalf of the Blaine NEGenWeb, and
Blaine County researchers, we would also like to express our
appreciation, and thanks, Colleen Switzer for
her vision in writing this volume in order to preserve the history of
the sandhill counties of Loup and Blaine, Nebraska.
The author, Colleen
Iris (Goehring) Switzer, was born in Loup County, Nebraska Her
Geohring family had roots in Blaine County. Collen's expressed
interest in writing this volume was so ". . . that her children might have
knowledge of the early history of the area in which they were born and in which
their ancestors had a part in settling. For the most part this history
covers only those years prior to 1890."
