Awards included the Thumbs Up Volunteer of the Year Award from the chamber of commerce for two consecutive years, first-runner-up for Mrs. Wyoming, Who's Who in American Women, Personalities of the West and Midwest, and Volunteer of the Year from the Multiple Sclerosis Society. She was recognized for instituting a program for rheumatic fever control, developing a citywide bicycle safety program and supporting the YVCC Scholarship Fund
