During the war, became postmistress for the St. Michael Post Office; became the rural carrier for the St. Michael route and later had the Boelus and Ravenna routes
Activities: active member of the Ravenna United Methodist Church for more than 70 years; participated in many of the church activities and shared in the responsibilities; member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Pleasant View Aid, Buffalo and Hall County extension clubs, the St. Michael Thimble Club and was a 4-H club leader
