Parents: A.T. and Anna (Anderson) Olson
Family was one of Kearney's first families, arriving from Sweden in 1875 to open a wagon and carriage manufacturing company. Buffalo Tales also chronicles her heritage in "The Scandinavians," Volume 7, Issue 3, and "A.T. Anderson," Volume 5, Issue 9.
Doris and Charles were Kearney High School sweethearts, married at ages 17 and 19, respectively, at the home of Doris' parents at 706 W. 25th St. on Christmas Eve in 1935
Survivors include: Charles' brother, Andrew of Fontana, Calif.; three children, C. Stephen Beshore of Norfolk, Va., David Frederick Beshore of Oceanport, N.J., and Christine B. Lived in Hastings and Red Cloud; traveled to be near her husband during the war years, worked as a waitress, phone operator and sales clerk at Montgomery Ward and was later employed as a payroll clerk at the Naval Ammunition Depot in Hastings; after the war, lived in York and Ord, was a bookkeeper and cashier for Kansas-Nebraska Natural Gas Co. and was active in the First United Methodist Church; moved to Kearney in 1966, worked as a new accounts manager for First National Bank of Kearney for 16 years
Activities: was an avid genealogist, published books on the Busboom Branches and the Krick-Hansen Kinfolk; was active in Eastern Star, was worthy matron three times and held all of the other offices; was past president of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and was twice president of the Fort Kearny Genealogy Society; active member of First United Methodist Church of Kearney for almost 40 years; enjoyed family reunions, playing bridge, golf, travel, cooking and staying up until midnight working the crossword puzzles in the newspaper; enjoyed traveling in the United States, Hawaii, Mexico, Great Britain and Germany

Enjoyed traveling, spent many winter in San Juan, Texas; they moved into a retirement townhouse in Lincoln, 2008
