With first husband, a construction superintendent lived in Minot, N.D., Yakima, Wash., and Trenton, Neb. He was killed in a construction accident at this time. She spent the summer of 1951 in Kearney and then moved to Denver with her sister, Dorethea
With second husband, lived on a farm in southeast Colorado 22 miles south of Holly; divorced in 1972
Moved to Pueblo West, Colo., worked at the Pueblo West Country Club Pro Shop, continued to play golf in tournaments all over the state

during the 1980s, began spending their winters in Arizona, eventually had a home there; moved to Limon in 2005, built a home there

Grew up in Hartington, attended Spring Valley grade school, graduated from Hartington High School in 1952; attended Wayne State Teachers College and received her teaching certificate; taught one year at Midway School south of Hartington and two years at St. James School in St. James
Married: Feb. 23, 1956, to Dan Sutton in Laverne, Minn.
Lived in North Hollywood, Calif., husband served in the U.S. Army; returned to Nebraska and lived in Lincoln, O'Neill, Valentine, Oakland, Elgin, Tilden and finally Shelton
Activities: active member of Shelton United Methodist Women's Circle; enjoyed discussing current events with friends and family; loved her children's and grandchildren's sporting events and Nebraska football
Survivors include her husband; sons, Cary and his wife, Lisa, of Papillion, Tim and his wife, Sandra, of Wayne and Todd and his wife, Sandy, of Shelton; daughter, Julie Oakeson and her husband, Dave, of Brush, Colo.; grandchildren, Kyle, Bret and Drew Oakeson and Mathew, Allison, Maggie, McKenzie and Kolby Sutton; brother, Arthur; and sisters, Betty Lauer, Deanna Rimel, Nancy Pick and Judy Kvols
Was preceded in death by her parents, one brother-in-law and one sister-in-law
