Activities: did volunteer work for the Good Samaritan Hospital Service League, for the Buffalo County Election Commission, for First Lutheran Church and for several other organizations; loved to quilt, make stained glass hangings and sew; loved reading books and working crossword puzzles; at age 80 joined the YMCA, participated in water aerobics classes until she was 93; moved to Northridge Retirement Facility, 2009

Activities: was an avid Cornhusker fan, enjoyed most sports, hunting, fishing and woodworking; long time member of Ducks Unlimited and the Elks Club; loved basebal, during his senior year in high school, was scouted and offered contracts by Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis ball clubs; was in a hunting accident that year and was unable to playing ball; coached little league ball for many years; volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and helped his nephew build his home at the foot of Casper Mountain.
Was a construction worker, helped build the interstate across Nebraska; also worked for Purina Company several years and The Buffalo County Road Department, then spent three years recovering from a back injury; became a long haul truck driver for another 8 years; moved to Casper, became an instructor for Sage Trucking School and worked for the wind mill farm in Glenrock
Was preceded in death by his father and stepson
