Survivors include her sons, Dan Journey and his wife, Nancy, of Chapman and Nick Zacarias and his wife, Ebru, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; daughters, Jean England and her husband, Jeff, and Brenda Mossman and her husband, Kelly, all of Grand Island; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Eldon Payne and his wife, Marge, of Lincoln, Bill Payne and his wife, Edith, Bob Payne and Art Payne and his wife, Nancy, all of Kearney, and Clayton "Cecil" Payne and his wife, Jackie, of Kansas City, Mo. Received her education in the Oconto area
Was employed by Palmer Hotel for 10 years, was a day-care provider and later worked at Lutheran Memorial Hospital; resided in Kearney and later moved to Grand Island
Activities: member of the Grand Generation Center and AARP; volunteered for The Salvation Army and enjoyed baking; enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; found peace and strength in her faith in God
Was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Vernon Payne; sisters-in-law, Marie Payne, Charlotte Payne and Joyce Payne; and great-grandchild, Aleea Lemburg
