Activities: member of American Legion Post 52 Auxiliary, the Eagles Auxiliary in both Kearney and Papillion, the Women of the Moose, Elks Lodge 39 of Omaha and Bay Hills Golf Club in Plattsmouth; loved spending time with her granddaughters, family and friends, and golfing and bowling

Activities: member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church for over 40 years, taught Sunday School, was active in Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, Ladies Aid and choir; family was very precious to her, traveled to Germany and all over the United States visiting them

Survivors include her daughters, Julie Tarr and her husband, Kevin, of Hildreth, Linda Johns and her husband, Pat, of Elm Creek and Kelly Zapp of Grand Island; son, Michael Zimmerman of Long Beach, Calif.; sister-in-law, Velma Jean DeForest of Chicago; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren
Attended high school in Kearney and graduated with the class of 1949
Activities: active member of First Christian Church, was involved with Women’s Group, Bible study and countless other groups within the church; enjoyed music, was an accomplished pianist; enjoyed reading and writing poetry
Was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Scott; granddaughter, Tessa Tarr; sisters, Patricia Orsborn and Betty Svatos; and brother, Delmar Swain
