Was injured in an ATV accident seven years ago, was told he would never walk again; persevered, and to the amazement of doctors and nurses he was walking again in a matter of months
Activities: enjoyed fishing, camping, mudding and working on cars and trucks; was an avid race car fan and an excellent mechanic; loved working on the race cars of Cody Blessing and Travis Kernick; at one time or another, had worked on several, if not all, race cars driven by Kearney drivers; loved animals, especially his dogs; most of all, loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren

Activities: enjoyed the winter Texan journey for the past 20 years; also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and sharing his home and collections with all his family and friends
Survivors include: wife of 64 years, Virginia; children and their spouses, Rick Yendra of Gibbon, Deborah and Gary Zinnel of Columbus, Terry and Patricia Yendra of Gibbon and Diane and Mike Hughes of Lincoln; grandchildren and spouses, Jabriel and Cari Zinnel, Andrew and Kori Yendra, Heath Zinnel, Alease Zinnel, Cody and Jennifer Yendra, Tiffany and Tony Redfern, Chelsea and Kelly Oliver, Ashley and Adam Dack, Jonathan and Alison Yendra, Jamie Yendra and Ryan Hughes; and great-grandchildren, Max, Parker, Kyndel, Leah, Crew, Finn, Charlie, Olivia, Logan, Sandra, Serenity, Cadance, Ian, Jazzlyn, Madison, Jessie, Ada and Augustus
