Activities: loved gardening and spending time with family; always enjoyed visiting her parents in Minnesota and her siblings in Colorado; member of First Baptist Church and later attended Kearney Evangelical Free with her son; spent her last days in the country with the nature, fresh air and family that she loved

Activities: enjoyed gardening, yard work, cooking and doing crossword puzzles; loved all animals, especially enjoyed rescuing and fostering greyhound dogs; cherished the couples’ Bunco group at the Peterson Senior Activity Center; was a grateful organ recipient in August 2015

Activities: was a proud PTA president for five years; held a lifetime membership in the Beta Sigma Phi sorority; was involved with Baptist Youth Fellowship; enjoyed being involved with her sons’ Boy Scouts and her daughters’ 4-H club; her heart was always for her family and helping others
Survivors include: her children, Stephen R. Lawhead and wife Alice of Oxford, England, G. Scott Lawhead and wife Kelli of Scottsdale, Ariz., Trudy A. Peters and husband John of Lansing, Kan., and Nanci J. Hudec and husband Jerry of Kearney; and foster son, Harry Galbraith and wife Patty of Grand Island. She was so proud of her 10 grandchildren and their spouses, and her seven great-grandchildren

Activities: loved playing cribbage and competed in many tournaments; was an avid baseball and coin collector; enjoyed riding around in his 1965 Ford Falcon Sprint and spending time with his dogs; was always willing to serve the community
