Activities: enjoyed traveling abroad with her sister and brother-in-law to Switzerland, a family reunion cruise to Alaska and many road trips and flights to St. Louis; especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends; attend her class reunion each Memorial Day weekend; was determined the next generations of her family knew their ancestry in the Greenwood Cemetery; was an excellent seamstress making prom dresses for her daughter and granddaughters, wedding veils and knitted and crocheted items; member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 79 years and taught her children and grandchildren the importance of respecting the flag; had an unwavering faith in God; member of the United Methodist Church

Military: entered U.S. Air Force, 1958; was assigned to Randolph Air Force Base as a navigator aboard KC-97 refueling tankers, later to the 320th Air Refueling Squadron at March AFB; flew on missions to the Pacific, Japan, Korea, Hawaii, Guam, Mariana Islands, Alaska and numerous other countries, and England, Germany and Spain; flew many combat missions over Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and the DMZ, some of them aboard an AC-130 gunship; after 22 years in the Air Force, Clifford retired in 1980 having obtained the rank of major; had flown over 222 operational reconnaissance missions and amassed over 10,500 hours of flight time; was awarded the Air Medal, Joint Services Commendation Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal, the Combat Readiness Medal, the National Defense Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, the Air Force Longevity Service Award, the Air Force Small Arms Expert Award and the Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross
Continued his flying career by joining E-Systems Inc. at Greenville, Texas; participated in all facets of the aviation industry including designing systems, modifying aircraft and then conducting test flights to prepare the planes for delivery to the Air Force and other customers; retired from E-Systems in 1998 after 40 years of flying, amassing almost 15,000 hours in the air; moved to Gibbon to enjoy retirement
Activities: enjoyed restoring antique automobiles, hunting, fishing and playing cards at the Kearney senior center; member of the Elks, American Legion, antique auto club and Ducks Unlimited

Parents: Elton and Margaret (Giltz) Lowell
Was raised in Gibbon and was a graduate of Gibbon High School
Married: Oct. 16, 1941, to Clyde Zwink
After marriage, lived south of Gibbon and farmed south of the Platte River
Activities: enjoyed sewing, playing cards and doing puzzles; was involved in Sunshine Club and a garden club; was a fan of many different sports and was an avid Husker fan; was very involved in her children’s activities, rarely missing a sporting event
Survivors include: children, Rita Haller and husband Dennis of Kearney, Monica Saalfeld and husband James of Gibbon, Steve Zwink and wife Nancy of Kearney and Randy Zwink and wife Patricia of Lexington; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and extended family members
