Activities: enjoyed woodworking, fishing, camping, hunting and restoring old cars, especially old Fords, including Model T's and his 1931 Model A; was happy being outdoors caring for their acreage; most of all, enjoyed spending time with his family; was an active member of First Lutheran Church for many years

After marriage, lived in Virginia, North Carolina, Kansas, Germany, Minnesota and Nebraska during her husband's military career; worked as a secretary in various places during their travels, retiring after working 27 years at CHI Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney
Activities: member of St. James Catholic Church, St. James Women's Bible Study Group, Magnificat, and a volunteer server at funeral dinners. She was a Life Member of the Custer Battlefield Historical and Museum Association, and the Crazy Horse Grass Roots Club; had a great interest in Indian history, particularly the Lakota Sioux; greatest joy in life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; loved animals; was proud to be an Army wife and always made the most of where they lived; also enjoyed her Friday coffee with her dear friends Pam Miller and Laraine Neu

Activities: was a den mother and campfire leader, was an excellent neighbor who loved to cook; loved playing the piano for her family to sing around; longtime member of First United Methodist Church, PEO Chapter EG, Faculty Wives Club, the Kearney-Monday Book Club, as well as Knit, Chat and Sew, and Kearney Community Theatre; was active in AA and celebrated 48 years of sobriety last spring; enjoyed world travel and the food, museums, music and theatre that came with them; as well as the silence of a Minnesota lake and fishing; participated in elderhostels and visited their far-flung friends, relations and children and grandchildren, picking up a new book or game of bridge along the way

Was employed as a graduate assistant and an instructor in the Department of Botany and Plant Pathology at Iowa State University in 1960-65; moved to Kearney and began serving on the faculty of Kearney State College (later the University of Nebraska at Kearney); taught botany, general biology, plant biology and microbiology; received special recognitions from several student organizations, including Student Senate and Campus Activities Council during his 34 years on the faculty; retired in May 1999
Activities: became a Christian during his college days; was active in the Navigators Christian ministry at that time and later at Kearney State College; worked in the printing shop at the Navigators headquarters, Glen Eyrie, in Colorado Springs during the summer of 1964; was active in the Evangelical Free Church and First Baptist Church in Kearney, taught college-student Sunday school classes for several years; interests included railroading, photography, the national parks, the histories of the Oregon Trail and Pony Express, service on the board of Kearney Trolleys and studies in theology. As a biologist, he became greatly interested in the creation-evolution controversy, and studied it intensely for many years; as a result, abandoned his belief in the validity of biological evolution and became a dedicated creationist, accepting many invitations to speak on the issues before a variety of groups and classes

After marriage, lived on several large ranches in that area; moved in 1952 to their own place in Garfield County northeast of Burwell; continued her teaching career for nearly 20 years along with many ranch chores from cooking for branding and haying crews, to gardening and raising chickens to feed the family and hired men
Moved to Holdrege and worked at Gibson's
Married: 1979, to Rees Thompson and moved to Franklin; moved to St. John's in September 2012 after suffering a stroke.
Activities: grew up in a musical family, learned to play the violin, and played with family at barn dances, then at pavilions and gymnasiums; later entertained at the Franklin Senior Center and hymns at the Methodist church in Franklin; collected dolls and sewed dresses for them; loved her soap operas, was an avid reader; was happiest around her family
Survivors include: daughter Beverly Gierhan; son David and wife Barbara Schmidt; nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives
Was preceded in death by her husbands; son Gary; son-in-law, Bud Gierhan; grandson Mike Gierhan; and her siblings

Grew up in different areas in Nebraska, but always felt the Kearney area was "home;" during his senior year high school, moved with his family moved to Hay Springs; worked for Rabeler Chevrolet at Rushville; graduated from the Hay Springs High School in 1982; attended college in Kearney as a music major, played trumpet and worked as a DJ
Worked at several jobs, including Broadfoot Sand and Gravel, Lederman's and Yellow Freight, eventually worked at Brown Transfer in Kearney, was a senior line-haul driver and drove from Kearney to Omaha twice a day delivering freight; in 2015 was awarded "Top Senior Driver of the Year," and competed in Truck Driving Championships several years winning a number of trophies
Married: Stephanie Storovich in Jamaica in 1998
Lived on an acreage outside of Kearney until the time of his death
Activities: was passionate about many hobbies, including photography, playing trumpet, fishing, hunting, archery, mountain biking, writing poetry, Harley Davidsons, collecting movies, loving his cats and supporting Eileen's Cookies; became a member of the Evangelical Free Church of Kearney in 2020 and attended church there regularly
Survivors include: his mother, Sharon Trucano; his stepmother, Jean Trucano; his sister, Bonnie (Denver) Hartwell; his ex-wife but best friend, Stephanie Trucano; nephews, Toby (Gretchen) Johnson, Garrick Antillon, Danny (Aide) Harms, and David (Christina) Giacalone; niece Sheena (Jeremy) Morris; stepbrother Jim (Tiffany) Forster; several great-nieces and great-nephews and many cherished friends
Was preceded in death by his father Alvin and his stepfather Tony Sabala

After marriage, moved to Lincoln, both attended UNL; Dale earned his undergraduate degree and Annabell, her master's; had four children together
After a time in Scribner, returned to Lincoln for Dale to earned his master's and Ph.D.; in 1972 moved to Kearney where Dale accepted a position at Kearney State College; Annabell began teaching and taught piano and voice lessons; also had a successful career as a Tupperware dealer; in 1983, joined the faculty at Kearney State, taught until 2002 when she and Dale both retired; as director of the Nebraskats! show choir, led performances all over the state, the country and the world, including Australia, Asia and Europe; earned her doctorate from UNL in 1988
Activities: was devoted to serving the Kearney Community, served in Golden K Kiwanis, Kearney Woman's Club, Kearney Area Storytelling Festival, Kearney Archway, Rowe Sanctuary Crane Center, The Crane River Theater Company, First United Methodist Church; judged multiple band and vocal competitions; enjoyed traveling at home and abroad
Survivors include her husband Dale; brother, Bruce Blincow and wife Jane; sons, Brian, Craig (Jacque), Eric (Mary Ann) and David (Melissa); grandchildren, Mitchell (Ava), Natalie (Chris), Aaron (Kassi), Jarod, Tanner, Colby; and great-granddaughter Lily Quinn
Was preceded in death by her parents and brother Roger
