Seeking information on Oliver J. LLOYD, his wife Frankie A., and their sons born in IL: Ray b. 1873, Earl b. 1874, and Oliver b. 1879. Oliver J. LLOYD lived in Elm Creek in the 1890s thru to at least 1920. I am seeking date of his death, where buried, an obituary if one exists. Oliver's brother Benjamin B. LLOYD moved to Elm Creek in 1889 and died 14 Jan 1921 -- but I do not know where he died. It could have been in Elm Creek. Their mother Catherine LLOYD died in Elm Creek on October 24,1918 "at her son's home". I don't know if this was at Oliver or Benjamin's house. Would appreciate having her obit if one exists. Many thanks. Any info on these LLOYD families of Elm Creek would be appreciated. One -- or both uncles -- raised my grandmother and her siblings from 1890-1899 in Elm Creek.

I am researching Mason Alexander (Alex) YOUNG, b. Muskingum Co. OH, 1842/43. He died in Grand Island, NE, 1927, and is buried in Majors Cemetery, Buffalo County, NE. He married Sarah Jane (Jennie) BUTLER in 1869 in Muskingum Co. OH. They homesteaded in Cedar Twp, Buffalo Co., NE in 1873. Their children include: John Wilson (b. 1869); Annie Mae (b. 1871); Zetta (b. 1874); Amy Rose (b. 1877); Charles Edward (b. 1884); Frank Clarence (b. 1887); Nellie Florence (b. 1889). Would be happy to share information about any of these people.

Amos Heald EDWARDS born 1817 in Vermont to Frederick Augustus Edwards and Polly Barker. He married Eliza Carolina GRANT in 1843 in New Hampshire. He died in 1905 in Buffalo Co. Nebraska.
- Eliza Carolina GRANT born in 1820 in New Hampshire to John Grant and Sally Taylor. She married Amos in NH in 1843. She died in 1891 in Buffalo Co. Nebraska.
- E. R. EDWARDS was born in 1856 in Wisconsin to Amos and Eliza. He married Lou Elizabeth Blair on December 29, 1886. They had 3 children: Maude, who married Emil Swartz; Clifford and Hazel. Both he and Lou are buried in the Kearney Cemetery next to his parents and I believe her brother. If anyone knows the where abouts of living relatives I would love to hear from you.

George Herbert MOSS was born 1852, in PA and died 1917 in Grand Junction, CO. He first married Mary Messenger, she died 12 Dec 1882. Mar 1885 he married Mary Rosina ROOS, born 1868, Henry, CO, IL, died 1920, Grand Junction, CO. George Herbert Moss's father was Josiah Moss, born 12 Apr 1820, PA., died 1900, Amherst, NE married Catherine (Katrin) Sloan or Lord, born NY, died 1892, Amherst.
Mary Rosina ROOS's father was George Roos, born 1834, Germany (Prussia), died 01 Oct 1917, married Caroline REIGER, born 1848, Germany (Prussia) died in CA. Both are buried in the Kearney Cemetery.
George and Mary MOSS's 4 daughters were born in Amherst, Buffalo County. George ran a chicken farm in Amherst. I found graves at the Amherst Cemetery for several MOSS family members, George's mom and dad, plus some others. George's children are Kathryn, Sadie and Carrie, my grandmother. I would appreciate any information on the Moss or Roos families from Amherst, NE.

I'm researching Charles McNeal ODOMS, b. 28 May 1856 in Ohio; died 29 Oct 1902 in Gibbon, Buffalo County, Nebraska. He married Rachel Katherine MILLIKAN 8 March 1881 in Clinton County, Ohio. Their first child was born in Ohio, second place unknown and the next 4 in Gibbon. They lived in Gibbon and/or Kearney from at least 1885 until sometime in the early 1900s. Anyone else researching this family?

Looking for info on Samuel STATON born abt 1894. place of birth unknown. Married Mabel K. DECK April 1 1938 in Kearney. .Sam and Mabel had three children- Donald Lee b.Aug 8, 1935 - Sam Leo b.April 26, 1938 - and Sarah Jane b. Jan 3 1940. I believe Samuel died in Kearney. Any help would be great.

I am looking for information on Charles ZIMMEK and Josephine SMITH ZIMMEK. Josephine, b in NY abt 1861, was the daughter of Abram and Armena (HILL) SMITH. Charles ZIMMEK immigrated from Germany in 1878 and settled in Amherst, Buffalo, NE. He married Josephine SMITH in 1880 in Kearney. Children born to Josephine and Charles were
-Louise ZIMMEK b 1881,
-Herman Franklin ZIMMEK b 1882,
-Hannah ZIMMEK b 1883,
-Pearl Dell ZIMMEK b 1886, and
-Bill ZIMMEK. All the children were born in Amherst.
Josephine (SMITH) ZIMMEK died in 1899. Charles remained in Amherst, d 1928 and is buried next to Josephine in the Stanley Cemetery at Amherst. Any information about any of these people would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I am looking for information on Wilbert S. HORMEL and Jennie Laurinda WILLHELMY. My grandmother Frances HORMEL was born in Kearney, NE. October 20, 1887. Wilbert was a farmer there. He was born on March 24, 1857 in Springboro, Ohio.
