GARDNER SCHOOL, District 112
This photograph belonged to Roy Loffer who owned a repair shop in Gibbon for about 30 years. In the early 1960's when Buffalo County consolidated their rural schools, he went up to his old school house, district 112 in Gardner township, and bought the teacher's desk. He used it for several years in his shop, but when he retired, he donated it to the Buffalo County Historical Society. They cleaned it up, and it is now on display at Trails and Rails Museum. This is the picture of his school.
