Midway Hotel and Soldier's Monument
This hotel was named because it was about 1733 miles from Boston
and about 1733 miles from San Francisco.
The monument was erected in 1910 to commemorate the
soldiers of the Civil War and of the Spanish-American War.
Submitted by Mona Houser, who worked at the Hotel Coffee Shop in the 1950's.
