Located by Brownlee, Ne. It is 2 1/2 miles northwest
of Pearson buildings near Chaloud Place.

It is located about 2 1/2 or 3 miles northwest of the home place
building site on part of our ranch we call the Chaloud Place.
When the graves were put in, Martin's lived on that place.
I do not know the Martin's girls name that is buried there.
Only that she died of quick consuption at age 16, 3 weeks after
they came to Cherry County.
Peter was George's grandfather and died as a result of a stage
team run away at Brownlee as he was to leave for the eatern part
of the state.
Emma Everett was his daughter,(George's aunt), and met her death
in a prairie fire. No one knows for sure just what happened but
she was on her way to have a dress made to go to Valentine to prove
up on her homestead. She was driving a one horse buggy. When the horse
came home and they foundher, she had a broken leg and the fire had
burned over her body. Her nephew who lived with her and was nine
years old at the time visited us at age 86. He said she had dug into
the sand trying to block the fire away from herself.Her husband
was Amos Everett, a brother to Mrs. Martin, mother of the 16 year old girl
who is buried there.
There are stones at both of our relatives graves and it is fenced with
woven wire with the corner posts set in cement. In the 30's the wind piled
sand over the graves more than shoud be. But rather than risk it blowing out
we have not disturbed the top soil which is grassed over now.
