Helen B. O'Banion
Helen B. O'Banion died Aug. 1, 2005, at age 93.
Helen B. Maney was born Feb. 8, 1912, in Homer, Neb. She moved to Portland
in 1954, and was a homemaker. In 1964, she married Lyle; he died in 1967.
Survivors include a niece and nephews.

Clyde O’Dell

Clyde O'Dell,
former resident of Dakota County passed away on December 30, 2013 in Kingman,
Arizona.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the
Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE.
Clyde was born in Homer, NE on August 28, 1935, the son of Tom and Martha
O'Dell.
He is survived by one son, Melvin (O'Dell) Svoboda of Missouri; one daughter,
Debbie (Bob) Packard of Bronson, IA; one brother, Jerry (Roberta) O'Dell of
North Sioux City, SD; two sisters, Mary Beldin of Dakota City, NE and Kathy
Nuttall of Council Bluffs, IA; 4 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Martha O'Dell; two sisters,
Nadine Lewon and Darlene Grove; two brothers, Mike (Dan) O'Dell and Orville
O'Dell; and a great-grandson.

Walter Olmstead

Walter Olmstead, age 78 years,
died last Wednesday, May 31st, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Dell
Custer, in South Sioux City, of ailments to old age.
Deceased was a Civil War veteran.
A son, E Olmstead, resides southwest of Dakota
City.

Maurice O’Connor
January 7, 1910, Dakota County Herald, page 5
Maurice O’Connor, an old resident of Nacora, Neb, aged
40 years, died at a hospital in Sioux City Wednesday afternoon. Mr. O’Connor
went to Sioux City a short time ago to visit his two sisters. He was taken ill
only a few days before his death, and at the advice of a physician was taken to
a hospital. Death was due to pneumonia, which developed into heart trouble. Mr.
O’Connor was a retired farmer. The body will be taken to Hubbard today for
burial. Mr. O’Connor never was married. He leaves two sisters residing in Sioux
City and two brothers, Charles and John O’Connor, of Nacora.

Mrs. Thornton came over from Sioux City Saturday to
attend the funeral of her brother, Maurice O’Connor. She remained over Sunday,
the guest of relatives and old friends.
