Deaths and Funerals

James Hartnett Sr.

James Hartnett, 68, 3820 Meredith avenue, a hydrant inspector for the Metropolitan Utilities district, for the past twelve years, died Saturday after a month’s illness. He was a resident of Omaha for 17 years and a native of Nebraska. Hartnett is survived by a wife and one son, James Jr., Shenandoah, Ia.; four brothers, Tom and William of Jackson, Neb., and Dan of Chicago; and on sister, Mrs. Mary Magee of Hubbard, Neb. The body will be taken to Jackson for burial at 1 p.m. Monday.

Sioux City Journal, 27th: Died in Sioux City Ia., April 26, 1916, Mrs. Elizabeth Hogan, 52 years old, of Hubbard, Neb., in a hospital after an illness of about seven weeks, of anemia. She is survived by her husband, John Hogan. The body will be taken this morning from the Larkin funeral home to Hubbard for buried.

Died, Monday, January 17, 1910, Mrs. M J Herman, after an illness of about ten days of pneumonia. She was 70 years of age the 14th of this month. The funeral was held Wednesday morning at ten o’clock at the Catholic church. Interment in the family lot at St. Paul, Minn. She has been a resident of Homer for about 30 years. She leaves, besides her husband, one son, Lewis Herman, of Winnebago, and two daughters, Mrs. Julius Pitts, of this place, and Mrs. Ida Coleman, of St. Paul, Minn, and a brother, Albert Nash, of Thurston.
