VINZANT, WILGAMOT, WOLGAMOT posted by Vernon V. Vinzant on Monday, October 5, 1998

In the Dawson County Museum in Lexington, Nebraska, in 1995, the museum had two references in their data files to Vinzant. The FIRST is a note in reference to a piano and Bessie Vinzant (known individual). The SECOND is a note about a Bible:
VINZANT
Genealogical Information from unregistered Holy Bible: Holy Bible, New York, 1878. from badly torn and creased page in the front of the book written in pencil:
"Mary Florence Vinzant was born Dec 18-0
E- - - - - - Vinzant was born May 12, 1872, Linville (sic), Iowa"
I am trying to establish relationship of Mary Florence to Eugene Wilgamot Vinzant, b. 5/12/1872. Eugene is son of William Vinzant (b. 2/9/1845 & bur. Keeley Cem., Bertrand NE) and unknown spouse. Perhaps someone would look at bible and could interpret date? Wilgamot/Wolgamot is also known to be a family name and am seeking a tie between Eugene and any Wilgamot/Wolgamot family.

NICKOL, SMIDT posted by Darleen Berens on Monday, October 12, 1998

NICKOL, SMIDT Looking for a Virginia NICKOL born abt 1911. Believe she may have been born in Dawson Co., NE or had roots here. She may have been married to a SMIDT. Do not know if it would be a first or second marriage. Think her name in 1947 would have been Virginia SMIDT. All responses appreciated.

According to the new Vamlingbo parish book, Lorens came Gothenburg. When he emigrated in 1869, he first went to Omaha, according to the boat lists at Göteborg, Sweden (1/2 namesake of Gothenburg, Dawson County, Nebraska). Anyone know of Lorens?
