STADLER posted by Brenda Stadler Bergstrom on Monday, April 12, 1999

I am looking for any information on my Grandfather, Roy Stadler he died in 1948 on December 18th. My father was a very young man when he passed away, 8 years old and does not remember much. My father has since died and I have tried various things without any success. I know that he is buried at the Lexington Cemetary as we have visited the grave. He also served in the armed forces but have had no luck in finding any info. I am very new to this. Would appreciate any assistance. Thank you.

BEAN posted by Maxine Whitman on Monday, April 19, 1999

I am seeking information on my relatives that lived/died in Lexington, Dawson Co., NE. My great grandparents were:
Charles Edwin BEAN 1852-1940
Amanda Kezia (Taylor) BEAN 1855-1939
children:
Mary, b abt 1877, d 6 Jan 1878, Lexington, NE
Jessie, (female) b 1878, d 16 Jan 1880, " "
Jennie Elnora, b 6 Nov 1879, Lexington, NE, d 23 July 1893 Elwood, NE.
Donald Edwin, b 26 Oct 1881, d 16 March 1977- CA
Harry Scott, b 22 Aug 1883, d 26 Sep 1962, NE
John born, & died 12 May 1886, ?Lexington, NE.
Mattie Jessie, b 30 Sep 1888 Lexington, NE, d 27 June 1965, WA.
Earl Frank, b 3 Mar 1890, Lexington, NE. d 22 Jul 1949, Omaha, NE.
My question is: Where are the infants buried? I am told Jennie Elnora BEAN died in Elwood while visiting her grandparents. I am unable to find her burial site in Elwood, so I wonder if they transported her body back to Lexington for burial to be with the other 3 BEAN children that died there? I believe there was no train service between the 2 small towns, so could it have been by 'horse & buggy' or wagon...?? The family were poor so never owned anything. So I feel sure they had no 'farm' to bury them on. I also understand there is no 'Churchyard' there where they might have been buried. I believe they were of the Methodist faith. I also have received information that early Lexington Funeral Directors were: S. O. Hall or E. H. Cleveland. Would there be any way to contact anyone that has access to those early records? I do not know if the infants had a funeral but Jennie Elnora did in Elwood, NE. I do not know the name of the Funeral Director, however. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
