JANSSEN, JUNJE, JUNKER, MARK, VON posted by Connie Newtson on Saturday, March 31, 2001

I am looking for information regarding Roelf C. JUNKER born in Germany. He died in 1898 in Dawson County, NE. He married Ahrends VON MARK who died in April of 1872, but I don't know where. I only know of one daughter, Hilkalena who was born on December 10, 1853 in Germany. This was my great grandmother. Hilkalena married Cornelius F. JANSSEN or JOHNSON on October 17, 1874. Both Roelf JUNKER and Cornelius JANSSEN were listed in the plat book for Level, Nebraska. I did not know until looking at that book that Cornelius ever lived in Nebraska and still don't know if that is actually him. They may have met and married there. Cornelius' father was Frink F. JANSSEN. His mother was Jantze JUNJE JANSSEN. Cornelius and Hilkalena ended up settling in central Illinois which is where they both died.
