It was reported in a Wisconsin Newspaper that Lewis W. Harvey was murdered near Overton, Nebraska 26 January 1879. Does anyone have any information pertaining to this event or access to a local newspaper for this area that would give more details? Thank you.

My Grandmother Kerrie Violet Joplin was born in Eddyvile Nebraska in 1895. My mother relates a story that was told to her by my grandmother: While living in Eddyvile she attended school which was across the river. On a daily basis the children would use an old spring matress frame and a rope tied across the river as a ferry system to get back an forth. My grandmother would have been six or seven at the time.

Looking for information of the drowning of Andrew Johnson in Gothenburg Lake around June 11, 1897. I have found this notice in the Burt County Genweb site "John Anderson and Andrew Johnson were drowned in the Gothenburg lake while seining" and it was dated June 11, 1897. Andrew may have been my g grandfathers brother who was married to Carrie Olson. I would certainly appreciate if any one knows how or where I could get more details.
