JOHNSON posted by Barb Goracke on Sunday, July 13, 2003

I am looking for the cattle brand that was assigned to Emil E Johnson at Sumner Nebraska. He is my grandfather and is deceased. Do they retire the brands? How can I find the brand that was assigned to him?
There are two places you can check this. The Nebraska Brand Committee has current records. For older records, you should check with the County Clerk.

BOEKEL, SCHULTZ posted by Thomas E Corey on Sunday, July 27, 2003

Looking for any information on the Ferdinand Boekel family that lived north of Eustis just into Dawson county. This would have been from about 1885 to 1914. Wilhelmina Boekel married Charles Schultz in 1883 at Seward, Nebraska. Charles and Wilhelmina would have been my great grandparents. Would like to know if Wilhelmina had any siblings.

I'm looking for information on my great grandmother's brother. He was Merton E. Hoose. He was born in Ohio and his parents and sister remained in that area for many years. I have no idea what took him to Nebraska except possibly his wife was from that area. I know nothing except that he practiced dentistry in Lexington Nebraska. He is there with his wife Harriet in both 1920 & 1930. As far as I know they had no children. Can anyone tell me anything about Merton & Harriet. Thanks for any help. Nancy

I am looking for information on Albert Draper Anderson, who was the oldest son of John Draper Anderson and Phoebe E Easton, who lived south of Cozad in Ringold area (Fairview). He died in 1938 but we don't know where, and we don't know if he was married. John's sister Eliza Jane or Jennie Anderson Acheson Streit also lived south of Cozad in this same area.
We need correct birthdate for Albert and any other information. Carole Tucker

LEBSOCK-LEBSACK posted by Kenneth Schott on Sunday, September 21, 2003

I am trying to locate the family of Henry and Maria A. Lebsock-Lebsack , who went to Gothenburg about 1925, had 5 boys and a girl, the girl died about 1955 of a kidney disfunction, she was about 15. In 1930 he was the manager of a gas and oil station in Gothenburg, and his 74 year old father, Conrad , lived with them. This family were German-Russian, had come to Nebraska about 1903, first to Grand Island, I believe. The Conrad would have been my great-grandfather and I would like to contact some member of this family. In 1930, Henry was 29 and Maria, 28, they had 3 sons at that time, Leonard E.age 6, Bernard E. age 4, and Richard H age 2. Hope to hear from anyone with knowledge of this family. Thank-you.

I also have copies and translations of letters written by Aunt Nan to my g. grandmother, Mary Frances Seaman Lohr. If anyone would like copies of the letters I would be happy to send them to you via e-mail.
