RESIDENT OF PONCA SINCE 1877 CALLED BY DEATH.
Ponca, Neb., March 14.—Special: Edward Jewett Berry, 71 years old, a resident of Ponca since 1877, died at his home here early this morning, following an illness which gripped him since last December.
Mr. Berry had been engaged in the harness business here for many years. He was a charter member of the Modern Woodmen of America here. He was a member of the local Masonic lodge and of the Sioux City consistory.
He is survived by his wife, two sisters, three nephews and one niece. The sisters are Mrs. John L. Hazlegrove and Mrs. E. H. Cornell, both of South Sioux City. The nephews are Fred and Dean Cornell, and E. H. Sherwood, of South Sioux City. The niece is Mrs. Fred Beerman, of Dakota City.
The funeral probably will be held Wednesday.
