OLD RESIDENT OF PONCA, NEB., DIES WEDNESDAY.
Mrs. Emma T. Davidson, 77 years old, a long time resident at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hattie James, of Ponca, Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Davidson died of a complication of diseases after an illness of 10 day’s duration.
Mrs. Davidson was born in Pennsylvania in 1847. She spent her childhood there and then moved west. In 1869 she was married to Hayes Davidson. Mr. Davidson preceded his wife in death 18 years ago.
The Davidsons were pioneer residents of Jewel County, Kansas. Mrs. Davidson was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran church of Hardy, Neb.
Surviving are two sons, G. L. Davidson and H. M. Davidson, of Hardy, and two daughters, Mrs. Rosa Houston, of Independence, Mo., and Mrs. Hattie James, of Ponca.
The body will be sent to Hardy today for burial. The W. Harry Christy undertaking firm is in charge of arrangements.
