PONCA PIONEER DEAD. DR. S. B. STOUGH PASSES AWAY AT AGE of 89.
Ponca, Neb., Aug. 13 — Special: Dr. S. B. Stough, of this place, a pioneer, died today, age 83 years and 11 months. He came to Ponca in 1858 and was owner of the original Ponca townsite. He operated a mill in Elk Point, S.D., for years. He had been president of the Security Bank.
He is survived by a widow and four children. — Mrs. Samuel Bittenbender, of California; Charles of Spokane, Wash.; Mrs. Cassie Williams, of Ponca, and Mr. O. I. Newton, of Ponca. For many years he was County Surveyor.
