Jeffrey Ray Hartman, 31, of Overton, died Sunday, Jan. 23,2000 as a result of a motor vehicle accident near Overton.
He was born May 27,1968 at Cozad to Darrel and Sharon (Nichelson) Hartman.
Jeffery attended school in Bradshaw. He also attended college at Central Nebraska Community College in Hastings. Jeffery had lived in Cozad, Hastings, and Shickley, and had been living in Maine until September of 1999 where he worked for the Groom & Board.
Jeffery loved animals and kids. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his parents of Overton; his grandmother, Naomi Hartman of Cozad; his wife, Kelly Hartman, formerly of Geneva and now of Beatrice; two sons, Michael Hartman of Overton and Damien Hartman of Beatrice; one daughter, Amber Hartman of Beatrice and one stepson, Jesse Hickman of Geneva.
Other survivors include, one brother, Shawn Hartman of El Paso, Texas; one sister and her husband, Cassandra and Timothy Grudzinski of Grand Island; one nephew, Grady Grudzinski of Grand Island and aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ernest Hartman; his grandparents, Alvin and Ruth Nichelson.
The body was cremated.
Memorial services were held Friday, Jan.28, 2000 at 2 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Chapel in Lexington with Pastor Joe Masten, officiating.
Private inurnment will be held at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
Reynolds-Love Funeral Home of Lexington was in charge of arrangements.
