Susan Lynn Lundak was, born to Ernest Arnold Sole and Marion Phyllis Clark Sole on April24, 1951, at Geneva. She passed away Dec.22, 1 1999, at the Nebraska Medical University Hospital in Omaha at the age of 48 years, 8 months and 28 days. She was one of 10 children in the family.

Susan was raised in Geneva and attended elementary school and graduated from Geneva High School. She attended church at the Congregational Church in Geneva. Following graduation she attended Peru State where she obtained her teaching degree after four years. She was employed as a telephone operator at the Communications Department of the University of Nebraska.

Susan was an extremely bright person who loved to read and assisted Thelma Hamilton at the Geneva City Library for many years. She never lost her quest for knowledge and enjoyed working on her computer and reading. Any dog or cat found a loving companion and friend in Susan who would eagerly adopt a stray. She loved children and had a way of making them at ease in her presence.

Susan enjoyed painting, needlework, and pottery and a perfect day was to go on a drive and visit any new territory. She suffered the debilitating effects from diabetes loosing a leg to amputation and needing eye surgery. She passed away following liver transplant surgery from complications not directly involved with her operation. Her family and friends will miss her.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; by sister, Irene Johnson of Florida and brother, Michael Harder of Oregon and sister, Catherine Minnie Young of Belvidere.

She is survived by brothers, Arnold of Leavenworth, Kan., John Cloyd of Omaha, Jerry Young of Dwight, Larry Young of Lincoln, and George Young of Milwaukee, Wisc.; and by sister, Judy Vacek of Hastings.

Memorial services will be held at Farmer & Son Funeral Home, Geneva at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, ]an. 5, 2000, with Rev. Wanda Bennett officiating.
