Mary Elizabeth Flick, wife of John W. Pickerill, died at the family home in Geneva NE at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec, 24, 1925, aged 67 years, 8 months, 16 days. Mrs. Pickerill was born in Kickapoo, Peoria county, IL. While she was still a child her parents moved to El Paso IL where she was united in marriage to John William Pickerill Feb. 19, 1874. Nine children were born to this union, seven daughters and two sons; Mrs. Minnie McGaffy, Lincoln NE, Mrs. Birdie Merrill, Geneva NE, George Forest Pickerill, Geneva NE, Mrs. Dottie Madison, Keystone NE, Mrs. Vennnie Tindale, Geneva NE, Mrs. Erma Kerns, Omaha NE, Mrs. Evelyn Dingman, Wahoo NE, Mrs. Mamie Hill and Vernon Eugene Pickerill are deceased.
Mr. and Mrs. Pickerill have resided in Geneva since 1877. Mrs. Pickerill's illness lasted but ten days. All of the family were present except Mrs. Madison and Mrs. Dingman.
The funeral took place from the Methodist Episcopal church in Geneva at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 27 and was conducted by Rev. H.G. Langley. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery.
