Irvin Slepicka

Irvin M. Slepicka, U.S. Air Force Retired, died Dec.20, 1999 at the age of 80 at Peachtree City, Ga.
He was born to Fred and Anna (Pejsar) Slepicka on Jan.21, 1919 at Tobias. He was one of seven children in the family, living in Fillmore County until he was inducted into the service in 1941, and served in the European Theatre, Japan and Alaska.
He is survived by his wife, Betty, of 57 years of Peachtree City, Ga.; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Jane Slepicka of Columbus, Ohio; daughter, Gail Slepicka of Peachtree City, Ga.; brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Evalyn Slepicka of Geneva; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Fred Stych of Milligan; sisters-in-law, Arlene Harris of Peachtree City, Ga. and Marie Slepicka of Hillsboro, Ill.
Also, grandchildren, Sherri Ludwig and Jeffery Slepicka and his wife Beth of Peachtree City, Ga.; greatgrandsons, Ryan Ludwig, Joshua and Christian Slepicka and a host of relatives and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Anna; one brother, Lumir; three sisters, Mildred Bulin, Alyce Domling, and Arlene Havel.
Irvin was a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association and a member of the American Legion Post No.26 of Bordertown, NJ.
Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, D.C., at a later date. Private family services were held Dec.22, 1999.
Memorials will be directed to Peachtree City Police Dept.
