Mrs. Louise Hubbard, a member of the Methodist Home for the Aged,
of this city, died at the Burge Hospital in Springfield at 1:20 Saturday
morning, August 26, following an illness of 7 weeks. Her death was due to
euremic poisoning. She had been hospitalized for 4 weeks.
Mrs. Hubbard had lived at the Home for almost 7 years, except for
periodic visits with relatives.
She was born at Lowpoint, Illinois on November 28, 1859, the
daughter of George and Hanna Pickerill. She was married to Hubert Hubbard at
Lincoln Nebraska December 25, 1894, No children were born to this union and her
husband died many years ago.
Surviving relatives are a sister, Mrs. J.C. Mezger of Longview
Washington and 3 nephews, Harold and Clyde Hitch of St. Joseph.
The body was brought to Marionville Saturday morning where it was
held until Monday afternoon where services were held from the Methodist Church,
conducted by the Rev. Dr. Hervey, superintendent of the Home for the Aged,
assisted by Rev. C. A. Stevenson, pastor. Burial was made in the Odd Fellows
Cemetery under the direction of Bradford Funeral Service.
