Death of Andrew Skoglund

Andrew Skoglund was born in Sweden April 14, 1853, and died at the York Sanitarium Sunday morning, November 4, 1917, aged 64 years, 6 months and 20 days.


When fifteen years of age he was confirmed in the Swedish Lutheran church.  He came with his parents to Moline, Ill., in 1869.  He came to Fillmore county, Nebraska in 1884 and settled on a farm in Stanton township.  He resided there until a few weeks ago when he was taken to the sanitarium at York, Neb.  He was a member of the Geneva Odd Fellow lodge.


He leaves one brother, August Skoglund, and three sisters, Mrs. John Nelson, Mrs. John Toren and Mrs. Lindblom. 


The funeral was held at the United Brethren church in Geneva at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon and was conducted by Rev. E.R. Baber.  The interment was in the Geneva cemetery.
