Elwood, is a prosperous town situated in the northern part of Gosper county, ten miles from Homerville, the county seat. It has a population of 400, and is also on the Holdrege and Cheyenne line of the B. M. R. R.	Note: There are no businesses listed.
Homerville, is situated in the central part of Gosper county, of which it is the seat of justice. It is about nine miles south of Elwood, the nearest railway station, on the Cheyenne branch of the B.
