Anna M. Rasmussen, herself a graduate of Elwood High School (1917), was the only teacher for the class of 1924. She was born in Nebraska about 1899-1900, the daughter of Marious T. K. Rasmussen and his wife, Johanna Feldt. She married her classmate, Leon Emerson Sayles; he was a dentist in Elwood, and in April 1930 Anna was working as his assistant. The couple was living with Anna's parents along with their five year old daughter, Helen. (Some information found at Ancestry.com)
