GRAND ISLAND, June 23. ---(Special to the Bee.) ---The eleventh annual graduating exercised of the Grand Island High school took place at the Bartonbach Opera house last night. The house was crowded, and many were turned away. The stage was pretty decorated with natural flowers. The music with which the program was interspersed was rendered by the children of the schools. Prof. R. J. Barr, principal of the school is receiving many compliments as to the high grade of work done during the past year. O. A. Mohrenstecher vice president of the board of education presented the diplomas in a neat address. The following is a list of the graduates (see list below) and their literacy productions: L. Jabe, essay: "Heredity and Environment;" R E. Hulett, motto oration; M. M. Houser, essay: "Over the Range;" J. McCashland, essay: "Heavy, Heavy Hangs Over Thy Head;" E. A. Searson, class prophesy;" M. M. Hague, essay: "Human Verbs;" B. M. SSonenlowski, essay: "National Progress;" and M. T.
