RITES ARE HELD IN STUART CHURCH FOR W F MUNT, 80

   Funeral services were held for Wm F Munt, Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Stuart Federated Church in Stuart. The Rev Orin C Graff conducted the rites.

   Mr Munt, age 80 years, died Wednesday, Feb 12, at the home of his daughter, Mrs R O Duff, in Hood River, Oregon after a month's illness, and funeral services were held Thursday afternoon of last week at Hood River. Upon arrival here Sunday morning the body was taken to the home of Mr and Mrs Theo Kubart. Mrs Duff also arrived here Sunday.

   Pallbearers were three grandsons, Ray Cearns, Harry Mlinar, and Bob Cearns, a cousin, Walter Munt; and Arthur Pacha and Leo Kramer.

   William Forester Munt was born near Galesburg, Illinois, Oct 29,1866 and died at Hood River, Oregon, Wednesday, Feb 12,1947, at the age of 80 years 3 months and 14 days.

   On March 14,1896 he was united in marriage to Helen Frances Coburn, who preceded him in death Oct 7,1935. For several years he lived in the Green Valley community southwest of Atkinson and also resided at Long Pine where he worked on the railroad. Eleven years ago he went to Oregon and made his home with his daughter.

   He is survived by four daughters, Mrs John Mlinar of Stuart; Mrs Frank Hoyt of Atkinson; Mrs R O Duff of Hood River, Oregon; Mrs Nora McKee of Klamath Falls, Oregon; and a son, W C Munt of Hood River, Oregon. He is also survived by a brother, John C Munt of Omaha, 17 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs Effie Cearns preceded him in death in August 1946.
