Lawrence (Lars) MELSEN/MELSON and his wife Marie came to Dannebrog, Howard Co. in 1871. Five of their seven children were born in Dannebrog, including my husband's grandfather William J. MELSEN/MELSON 30 Oct 1872. We found part of Marie MELSON's obiturary in family papers stating that she had died in Dannebrog 26 Oct 1926 but obviously part of the obituary was missing. Does anyone have any information on Lawrence (Lars) and his wife Marie and their family? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Searching for descendents of brothers Patrick and Francis LEE. Born in Ireland in 1842 and 1846, they came over in about 1866. Spent at least 10 years somewhere in Illinois, before coming to Nebraska in 1879. Settled in Colfax County (Patrick in Lehigh, and Francis in Schuyler and then Richland). They both had many children, mostly sons, and named them using the same names - Edward, Patrick Francis, James, John, Dominick, Richard and Marcus. Patrick also had three daughters; Margaret who married Elmer MILLER, Annie who married John MCCURDY, and Honor who married Ed HIGHLAND. I found a Patrick LEE in the SS Death Index, which listed his home as St. Paul in Howard County. Also a Dominick LEE is listed in the 1917 draft list of Howard County. I am a descendent of Francis LEE. He was my great grandfather. I would love to know more about this family. If any of these names sound familiar to you, please don't hesitate to e-mail me. Thank you!

In 1887 my ancestor Lars Wilhelm NYSTEDT left Kavlinge, Sweden for St. Paul, NE. He was born in 1867 and his father was Gustav Wilhelm NYSTEDT. He travelled on a White Star Line boat departing form Copenhagen, Denmark. That's all I know about him. Is there anyone that has any kind of information about Lars? I would be very glad.
