BREZINSKI, KULKOWSKI, MILCZEWSKI, SMOLINSKI posted by Laura Anderson on Thursday, June 14, 2001

I am looking for children and descendants of Franciska MILCZEWSKI. She was b. 8 Dec 1864 in Pl. Malsau, West Prussia (just south of Gdansk, Poland), daughter of Joseph MILCZEWSKI (b. abt 1820) and Julianna KULKOWSKI (b. abt 1833). Franciska (or Frances) first married Julius SMOLINSKI and had a daughter, Anna Marie, b. 24 Jun 1884 at Paplin. Julius and Franciska are in the 1880 U.S. Census residing in the Kelso Pct. Howard County. Julius SMOLINSKI died between 1884 and 1889. Franciska married a second time, on 29 Oct 1889 at Polander, Howard County, to Frank BREZINSKI. He was born abt 1865 in Germany/West Prussia and is the son of John BREZINSKI and Annie NAMON. John KALKOWSKI was a witness of this marriage. I would like to find out if anyone knows more about Franciska - when and where did she die, did she have more children, was her mother related to my gg-grandfather, August KALKOWSKI? I have looked at films for this parish in Poland (West Prussia), and all of the above surnames are included within in a small geographic area. The BREZINSKI family could also tie into my gg-grandmother, Elizabeth GRENC BREZINSKI.

Searching for info on Peter Jensen RASMUSSEN who married Marie Sophie IVERSEN Feb 1907 in New York. Moved to Howard County. My mother-in-law, Carla RASMUSSEN was born Nov 29, 1916 in Cotesfield. She married Irvin Marion Van Horn of North Loup. I need info on Peter Jensen RASMUSSEN's parents. I know that Peter had two brothers who married two of Marie's sisters and all ended up in Howard County in early 1900's. Laritz Jensen RASMUSSEN married Johanne IVERSEN Feb 19, 1911 in Cotesfield, where their children John Jensen RASMUSSEN, Allen Jensen RASMUSSEN, and Elden Jensen RASMUSSEN were born. Johan Jensen RASMUSSEN married Mathea Marie IVERSEN Feb 1907. Another Iversen sister, Hansine Katherine IVERSEN married Carl Miller JACOBSEN Mar 21, 1905 in Grande Island, NE, and they ended up in St. Paul, NE. Rasmussen brothers were in NY working in steel mill before moving to NE. Other RASMUSSEN siblings were Fritz, Rasmus, Jens, Anna, Thora, and Karen. We know that the Rasmussen chilren were born in Denmark but know nothing else. I have Iversen info to share.
