Cheryl K. Baye Cheryl K. Baye, 49, of North Platte died Dec. 6, 1997, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center at Omaha from complications following bone marrow transplant. She was born July 24, 1948, at O’Neill. Mrs. Baye was a graduate of the Methodist School of Nursing in Omaha and received her bachelor of science degree in nursing at Clarkson College. She was a home-health nurse at Great Plains Regional Medical Center. On Feb. 19, 1971, she married Larry Baye at Omaha. A member of Signet Chapter 55 Order of the Eastern Star, she was currently serving as Grand Martha. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Karen of Lincoln; a son, Ken of North Platte; her parents, Fred and Marilyn Rahn Tesch of Plattsmouth; a sister, Dianne Osler of Lincoln; a brother, Rod Tesch of Phoenix; and their families. A memorial has been established to the Leukemia Society. A vigil service will be at 7 p.m. today at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with the Rev. James Heithoff as celebrant. Burial will be in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens. A lunch will be served at the church. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which is in charge.
