Helen Marie Bierhaus
SIDNEY — Helen Marie Bierhaus, 87, of Sidney died Jan. 27, 1998, at the Sidney Memorial Health Center.
She was born July 18, 1910, to Delmer and Easter Mary Wallace at Rising City. She graduated from school in Stockham.
On April 30, 1939, she married Herb Bierhaus in Holdrege. She helped raise his daughter Joanne, who was 4 years old at that time the couple married.
Due to illness, Mrs. Bierhaus moved to the home of her granddaughter and family in Gurley in September 1996.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Joanne (Bill) Boon of North Platte; two grandchildren, Cindi (Ted) Egging of Gurley and Rob (Betty) Boon of Boulder, Colo., four great-grandchildren, Christopher, Carrie, Elizabeth and Lucas Egging; and a sister, Bernie Londerville of Holdrege.
There will be a family memorial service later.
