Eva M. Conaway COZAD — Eva M. Conaway, 93, of Cozad died Nov. 10, 1999, at Southview Manor Care Center in Cozad. She was born April 5, 1906, near Athol, Kan., to Frank and Pearl McCormick Jackson. On Aug. 11, 1922, she married Roy Conaway. They lived in the Athol area until 1949, when they moved to Cozad. She loved flowers and sewing and had made doll clothing for her grandchildren. After her husband’s death in 1979, she moved to Southview Manor. Mrs. Conaway was a member of the Twelfth Street Church of Christ. survivors include four sons, Wayne (Audrie) of Butler, Mo., Ivan (Nancy) of White City, Ore., Glenn (Mary) of Lincoln and Kerry (Kathleen) of Ottumwa, Iowa; two sisters, Francis Gibson and Opal Cochran, both of Smith Center, Kan.; 16 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two infant children; a daughter, Lola Eberline; a son, Eldon; and a grandson, John Conaway. Memorials are suggested to Southview Manor Care Center. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel in Cozad with Brother Harold Rhea of the Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in the Cozad Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Berryman Funeral Home.
