Josephine ‘Josie’ Druery Josephine “Josie” Barbara Druery, 77, of North Platte died Jan. 6, 1998, at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Eugene, Ore. She was born Oct. 24, 1920, at Elgin to George William and Katherine Augusta Reicks Baumgartner. She grew up on a farm south of Sutherland and attended country school. She married Cecil Clyde Osborne and they lived in Sutherland. In February 1947, she married John Wolsey Druery at McCook. They made their home in North Platte, where she had lived since. In April 1997, she went to live with her oldest daughter in Eugene. Mrs. Druery was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Survivors include three daughters, Geraldine (Ray) Lawson of Eugene, Donna (Ronald) Sorden of Cinebar, Wash., and Joyce (Brian) Howard of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two brothers, Leonard Baumgartner of Hastings and Ted (Margaret) Baumgartner of Stapleton; two sisters, Alfreda Bourg of Roseland and Rita Schroeder of Omaha; nine grandchildren, Terry, David and Debbie Stiles, Larry and Dan Sorden, Ronda Waggoner, Sara Monsees, Karenann “Kay” Hernandez and John Howard; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents; a sister, Margaret Pohl; and two brothers, Ben and John Baumgartner. A memorial has been established for the Scleroderma Foundation, 89 Newburry St., Danvers, MA 01973. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at Odean Colonial Chapel at C and Sycamore. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Richard L. Piontkowski Jr. as Celebrant. Burial will be at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Odean Colonial Chapel at C and Sycamore.
