Leona Foster BROKEN BOW — Leona Foster, 87, died April 17, 1999, at her home in Broken Bow. She was born May 22, 1911, to John Harrison and Eva Adell Cobly Bryan in the Clear Creek Community between Ansley and Mason City. She grew up in the Clear Creek Community and attended Banner School. On Jan. 29, 1932, she married Leonard Foster at Aurora. The couple made their home on a farm east of Berwyn. They retired from farming in 1975 and in November 1980, they moved to Broken Bow. Mrs. Foster was a member of the assembly of God Church in Broken Bow. Survivors include a daughter, LeaDell (Fred) Jones of Broken Bow; two sons, Larry (Ruth) of Dubois, Wyo., and Lynn (Ruth) of Berwyn; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister. She was preceded in death by her husband in May 1992; two brothers; and three grandsons. Memorials may be given to the Assembly of God Church. Services will at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Govier Brothers Mortuary with the Rev. Bill Jay officiating. Burial will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at Govier Brothers Mortuary.
