D.L. ‘Pudge’ Glenn OGALLALA — D.L. “Pedge” Glenn, 88, of Ogallala died Oct. 10, 1999, at Indian Hills Manor in Ogallala. He was born Aug. 4, 1911, to Berlin and Bessie Currant Glenn at Hildreth. He received his early education in Hildreth. He graduated from Curtis School of Agriculture in 1929. He then attended Hastings College, graduating in 1933. Mr. Glenn was a teacher and coach in the Ogallala Public School system for many years. He was the human resource director for 25 years, retiring in 1976. He was secretary of the Ogallala Rotary Club for 37 years and had perfect attendance for 36 years. He belonged to the First United Methodist Church in Ogallala. Survivors include his wife, Florence Glenn of Ogallala; a daughter, Marilyn Glenn of Keystone; a son, DeWayne (Sharon) of Denver; a sister-in-law, Etta Glenn of Hildreth; and two grandchildren, Megan and Lisa Glenn, both of Boulder, Colo. He was preceded in death by a brother, H.A. Glenn. Memorials have been established to the American Cancer Society and the American Diabetes Association. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ray Norris officiating. Burial will be in the Ogallala Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at the Draucker Funeral Home in Ogallala.
