Rueben Gotliep Hasenauer Rueben Gotliep Hasenauer, 83, of Maxwell, died Nov. 28, 1998, at his home at Maranatha Bible Camp near Maxwell. He was born Nov. 2, 1915, to Max J. and Emma K. Tyler Hasenauer near Wellfleet. He grew up on a farm near Wellfleet and attended Summerset School during his elementary years . Later he worked for area farmers. He married Mary Young on March 16, 1943 at Oberlin, Kan. In 1974, he began working at Maranatha Bible Camp doing grounds keeping. He continued living there after his retirement, doing volunteer work. At the Camp he was loved and appreciated by young and old alike, especially because they recognized his love for the Lord and his enjoyment of life. Everyone who knew him will long remember his sense of humor. Survivors include two daughters, E. Ruth Garrison of Lincoln and Linda (Carvey) Ready of Chandler, Ariz; four sons, John (Ronda) and Chris (Mary) of North Platte, Lyle of Texas and Kenneth (Jennifer) of Grand Island; two sisters, Emma (Lawrence) Darnel of North Platte and JoAnn (Jerry) Vadeen of Arvada, Colo.; four brothers, Herbert (Eunice) of Wallace, Martin of Loveland, Colo., Max (Harriet) and Julius (Vera) of North Platte.; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Marie and four brothers, Erwin, Emil, Arthur and Walter. A memorial has been established to Maranatha Bible Camp. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Berean Fundamental Church with Revs. Carl Goltz and Tom Walker officiating. The family flower reading will be at 11:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at Wellfleet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home and Wednesday prior to service at the church.
