Frank J. Hauser DUNNING — Frank J. Hauser, 75, of Dunning died Nov. 12, 1999, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. He was born Aug. 22, 1924, at Rockville to John J. and Anna Rhode Hauser. He attended grade school in the Ravenna area. When he was 10, the family moved to the Purdum area in Blaine County. As a young man, he played baseball for the Hawley Flats team and the Purdum team. After his schooling, he continued to ranch with his family. On Oct. 4, 1947, he married Frances Davis at Saint Anselm’s Catholic Church in Anselmo. They made their home in the Hawley Flats community. Mr. Hauser was a member of Saint Anselm’s Catholic Church. He enjoyed horses, hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Marilyn (Ken) Hauser of Marquette, Cheryl (Brian) Husted of Valparaiso, Karen (John) Weekley of Shelton, Judy (Kelly) Schweitzer of Broken Bow and Connie Poffenbarger of Lincoln; three sons, Frank (Sue) and Barry (Lorie), both of Arnold, and Steve of North Platte; a brother, Joe of Denver; a sister-in-law, Percilla Hauser of Broken Bow; 24 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers. Memorials are suggested to Saint Anselm’s Catholic Church or the Hawley Flats Cemetery Fund. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Saint Anselm’s Catholic Church in Anselmo with the Rev. Mark Maresh officiating. Rosary will be at 10:30 a.m. before services at the church. Burial will be in the Hawley Flats Cemetry in Blaine County. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow.
