Wayne Lee
ELSIE — Wayne Lee, 80, of Loveland, Colo., formerly of the Elsie community, died Oct. 8, 1997, at the McKee Medical Center in Loveland.
He was born March 8, 1917, in Hayes County, south of Grainton, the eighth of 10 children born to Walter and Bessie Sharrah Lee. He attended rural school through the eighth grade.
On Dec. 30, 1939, he married Marcella Voda at Wallace. They lived on the Lee family farm in Hayes County until 1942, when they moved to their farm home southeast of Elsie. The couple moved to Loveland in 1970, where he worked for the State of Colorado Water Board until 1982.
Mr. Lee is survived by his wife; a daughter, Phyllis Neff of Denver; two grandsons, Nathan and Brian Neff; a sister, Clara Anderson of Grant; and a brother, George (Doris) of Madrid. Committal services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Grant Cemetery with John Long officiating.
