Clara M. Leibhart LEXINGTON — Clara M. Leibhart, 83, of Lexington died Nov. 11, 1999, at the Elwood Care Center in Elwood. She was born Aug. 31, 1916, at Stanley, Ky., to Benjamin C. and Lula Meyers Smith. She moved to Nebraska from Kentucky as a young person. She was a member of the St. Ann’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing bingo, loved to dance and will be remembered for her laugh. She especially enjoyed being with her children and her grandchildren. In 1936, she married Ramon Tuttle at Omaha. She later married Oral Westbrook and then Stan Leibhart. All her husbands preceded her in death. Survivors include five daughters, Laura (Willard) Keiser of Gothenburg, Shirley (Dwight) Horn, Karen (Clif) Horn and Susan (Dave) Garcia, all of Lexington, and Rose Smith of Phillipsburg, Kan.; four sons, Clifford (Nina) Tuttle of Jacksonville, Fla., Larry Westbrook of Chino Valley, Ariz., Melvin “Rusty” (Deb) of Elwood and Roy (Jean) Westbrook of Cozad; 21 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Oral; two sisters, Mary and Adell; two brothers, Jack and William; a great-granddaughter, Sara; and a son-in-law, Perry Smith. A memorial has been established. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington with the Rev. Don Buhrman officiating. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery. Wake service will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the Reynolds-Love Chapel in Lexington.
