Alta L. Manners
Alta Lorraine Manners, 87, of North Platte died Jan. 6, 1998, at a local nursing home.
She was born Sept. 10, 1910, to Martin and Anna Strom Andrews in Gage County.
On Jan. 2, 1930, she married Dee L. Manners at Lexington. He preceded her in death on Sept. 25, 1978.
Mrs. Manners was a laundress for Riteway Laundry for 45 years. She was a member of the Four Square Church for many years, and most recently she attended Calvary Assembly of God Church.
Surviving her is a son, Jim (Kathleen) of Bellevue; two grandsons, Russ (Mary Ann) of Omaha and Mike (Elizabeth) of Coon Rapids, Minn.; four great-grandchildren, Ryan and Mark of Omaha and Zachary and Lucas of Coon Rapids, Minn.
Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by an infant son; her parents; a sister, Mabel Freeze; and three brothers, Johnny, Lester and Roy Andrews.
A memorial has been established.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Adams and Swanson Chapel with the Rev. David Jones officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery south of Maxwell.
There will be no visitation as the casket will be closed.
