Alice C. McEvoy Alice C. McEvoy, 76, formerly of North Platte, died Dec. 6, 1997, at Denver. She was born March 7, 1921, to Marion J. and Ruth Ella Codner Amis at North Platte, where she was raised and graduated from North Platte High School in 1939. She attended Nebraska Wesleyan University for two years. In 1941, she married Robert Faulkner. He preceded her in death. On Sept. 10, 1945, she married William R. McEvoy in Goodland, Kan. He preceded her in death. In 1949, she moved to Colorado. Mrs. McEvoy was the former proprietor of Lemon’s Cafe in the early 1940s. She was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church, Business and Professional Women, Does and Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority, all in Denver. Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn McEvoy and Colleen Dingmann, both of Aurora, Colo., and a grandson, Daniel Dingmann of Greeley, Colo. She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert D. Faulkner Jr. and her parents. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at North Platte Cemetery with the Rev. Virgil Taylor of the Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in the North Platte Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which is in charge.
